Mr. Anwar is the Founder and Managing Partner of Milestone Law Firm. Mr. Anwar has various experiences in Commercial Contracts, Banking and Finance, Corporate Governance & Compliance matters, General Corporate, Employment Law, in addition to dispute resolution. He advises many clients in relation to incorporating Offshore Companies.
Mr. Anwar used to work for the legal department of the biggest bank in Egypt, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) in Egypt. He was involved in a wide variety of corporate law and finance transactions, corporate governance, project finance, banking laws, and debt restructuring. Then, Mr. Anwar joined prominent law firms like DLA Piper Cairo Office, where he was involved in different M&A transactions, SPA agreements, and general corporate.
Mr. Anwar was part of the renowned law firm, Crowell & Moring LLP, Cairo Office, where his main area of practise was Islamic Finance. He advised clients on transactions and disputes involving the commercial laws and regulations of many Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Libya.
Mr. Anwar was the Head of the Legal and Compliance Department at one of Egypt’s largest English and Japanese insurance companies. He used to advise the board and management about many strategic legal business plans. He has broad knowledge of insurance practise in the Egyptian market. He was selected to be the General Counsel of one of the leading American insurance companies in the MENA region, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. His role encompasses distinct aspects of legal practise in different jurisdictions.
